The Student Food Project has launched!

Hi guys! My name is Kate, I am a student at Newcastle University, and this is my blog!

I personally love food, eating with my friends and going out to eat. However, I also love actually having money and unfortunately these two things don’t generally go together… So this blog is going to be a guide for all of us students on how to cook and eat good food, without breaking the bank (not to say that you can’t buy a takeaway once in a while, I mean we’re only human).

Although easy recipes will be a major part of my blog, I am also going to post about student welfare and the importance of food in a student’s diet. Student welfare is becoming more and more of an issue these days, and there are so many students who need help but do not know how to get it. Hopefully this blog will aid those students who need help, and those students who want to help but do not know how to.

I will be chatting to students about their experiences and talking to the experts on food and wellbeing so that you guys can stay up to date.

But I also want to hear from you! So if you think I am missing anything from my blog or you want your voice to be heard then leave a comment below. You can also follow me on Instagram by clicking this link, and you can message me or leave a comment on one of the posts.

DISCLAIMER: As much as I’d love to be, I am not an expert in nutrition or student wellbeing. If you are changing your diet or experiencing any serious welfare issues, please contact your GP for more help.
